Joe served his country, loved his fellow soldiers, and remained devoted to his family and community. Following a brainstem stroke, he faced new challenges involving movement, memory, daily decisions, and intensified PTSD symptoms.
His message to fellow veterans is simple: don't wait to ask for support. Caring for your brain and seeking assistance are part of taking care of yourself, just as you would after any physical injury.
“No man left behind also includes you.”
